The Cathedral of Naples is a true monumental masterpiece waiting to be (re)discovered.
Initially dedicated to the Maria Assunta it was later also consecrated to San Gennaro: the patron saint of Naples.
The Cathedral is an artistic jewel, the result of a centuries-old stratification that began in the early Christian era. We will in fact visit the basilica of Santa Restituta and the oldest Baptistery in the West, that of San Giovanni in Fonte, up to the chapel of the succorpo and the Reale chapel of the treasure of San Gennaro, destination of hundreds of visitors every year.
A journey through time and history, full of curiosities, from the setting of one of the novels of Boccaccio's Decameron, to frescoes by artists such as Giotto and Cimabue.
