Perched on one of the city's hills there is an extraordinary place waiting to be discovered: the Capodimonte museum opens its doors in a series of unmissable evening events until December 10th. The rigorous perspective of Masaccio in the Trinity, the diaphanous faces of Sandro Botticelli, the violent light that floods the canvas of the Flagellation of Christ by Caravaggio in the most difficult period of the life of the artist guest in Naples following a terrible crime but also Artemisia Gentileschi , Guido Reni, Annibale Carracci and Caravaggio artists such as Jusepe de Ribera and Luca Giordano are just some of the works and artists that you can admire with the valid guide of Insolitaguida. Since the reopening, the museum has expanded its offer with an exhibition dedicated to Raphael and the Raphaelesque heritage of the Museum: Capodimonte preserves some autograph works of great importance such as the fragments of the Altarpiece of San Nicola da Tolentino, the portrait of Alessandro Farnese, Moses and the Burning Bush and the Madonna of Divine Love but also copies created in the artist's workshop such as the Madonna del Paesaggio or by illustrious artists for important clients such as Andrea del Sarto or for practice as in the case of Daniela da Volterra. But the offer does not end here: an exhibition dedicated to Santiago Calatrava delves into one of the most creative and brilliant minds of our times who loved the city of Naples so much, a crossroads of different cultures and civilisations.
To complete this picture, one of the exhibitions included in the "Sensitive Encounters" cycle in which contemporary artists interact with the historical collections of the Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte. This time it's Diego Cibelli's turn and his complex and tormented search for a meeting point between man and landscape: the study of the prints of the Trentino count Carlo Firmian become the starting point for the creation of very refined patisseries and to show the artist's profound knowledge of the art of ceramics.
So what are you waiting for? Do you want to spend an evening different from the usual? Insolitaguida is ready for you, ready as always to offer you a valid all-Neapolitan cultural offer.
